Harmony Village is a multigenerational cohousing community in Golden, Colorado completed in 1997. We began with a vision for a neighborhood where mutual support, shared work, and a love of nature create a connected, thriving community.
Life at Harmony Village
Connection
At Harmony Village, connection happens naturally. Neighbors know each other by name, kids grow up surrounded by caring adults, and daily life is filled with small, genuine moments of togetherness: shared meals, chats on the path, and the comfort of a community that cares about you. Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert, connection is always close at hand.
Nature
Life at Harmony Village is deeply connected to the natural world. Homes are nestled among gardens, trees, and open green spaces where kids can play and adults can unwind. A gentle stream winds through the community, attracting birds, butterflies, and other wildlife that bring the landscape to life. You might even see a herd of elk passing through!
Contribution
Contributing to the community is a central part of life at Harmony Village. Residents take an active role in caring for shared spaces, organizing events, and keeping the village thriving. Everyone gives what they can—time, skills, creativity, or effort—and together, those contributions build a strong sense of belonging. The work isn’t just maintenance; it’s part of what makes living here meaningful.
Support
At Harmony Village, support grows naturally from genuine friendships. Neighbors look out for one another, offering help before it’s even asked, whether that means watching a child, sharing a meal, or lending a hand when someone is ill. It’s an intentional community where care and connection go hand in hand, and where friendships deepen through everyday acts of kindness.
